John and I took a big walk along the front of the beach past all of the other resorts, and some are huge! The cave bar was open at the Hyatt, so had to drop in and have a Maitahi of course, and we were able to walk back to our hotel with them is plastic cups!
We were all a bit burnt from our day in the sun yesterday, and the boys were going to have another game of golf, so what did us girls do? You guessed it - went shopping! There is an outlet shopping centre at Lahaine which is a short bus ride away, so we whiled away a few hours there, then met the boys at the golf club for a well earned drink! Quite a few more Maitahis and beers later, we shuttled it back to our hotel.
The grounds at our hotel are just beautiful so we grabbed some red wine, beers and pizzas and sat outside for dinner. The friends from Amsterdam found us, and another good night was had by all!

We have missed your great photos and descriptive travelogue!! Good to see you are winding down after your busy schedule over the last few weeks. Hope you're home for the all Queensland Grand Final? Broncos v Cowboys - what a day Sunday is going to be. I can understand if you have other things planned!! Enjoy your last days in USA, love Pam and Vernon
ReplyDeleteAloha! Yes, we are winding down now which is just lovely. Maui is a wonderfully relaxing island, nowhere near as hectic as Oahu for sure. We get back to Bris Friday afternoon from an overnight in Sydney, so are looking forward to seeing the boys.

We spent the weekend at Rainbow Beach and Dan and Delaney were saying how jealous they were that you were on Maui. They just loved it there! Not sure if you saw it but there was a big sink hole at Inskip Point, the size of 2 football fields. Luckily no one was killed, a couple of caravans and cars lost forever! You must be feeling a bit sad theta the holiday is coming to an end but it is always nice to get back home. I'm sure the boys are looking forward to seeing you! Or the presents anyway :) Safe trip home xxx
