Atlantic City New Jersey

We left Baltimore in the heat and drove about 3 hours to Atlantic City. Happy to be sitting in the cool cars!
I don't know what we expected Atlantic City to be like, but couldn't believe the amount of Casinos here! Incredibly like Las Vegas on first impressions. We checked into our rooms, its lunch time by now, and the gaming floor was packed! We grabbed some lunch, the boys went to golf and what were we to do? Gamble and shop - oh what a drag haha! Didn't do too well in the gambling department, so Anne and I hit the boardwalk and had a good look around. It's incredible that 2 or 3 casinos/resorts have actually closed their doors! Our Resorts Casino is 90% full but after asking why the others have closed, apparently there's a lot of corruption here - surprise, surprise! The Miss America pageant is being judged here on the weekend, and there's 5 of the contestants staying in our hotel. We've only seen one so far, with her entourage!
Had a bit more of a flutter with the guys after dinner, but it was surprising how few people were in the casino by then. Seems to be the afternoons are the busiest.
Fortunately, we had a storm early the next morning, which cooled things down a bit and then rained throughout the day, but didn't stop us from doing anything! Found the shopping outlets, so we all went a little nuts for a couple of hours - even John and Daryl! Mick left us and went driving to the Harley Davison shop, so Anne was on the loose!
There's another Bass Pro shop here, not as big at the one in Vegas but still pretty amazing!
Meet some new friends in  Ballys Casino who gave us the heads up on a lot of local goss, had a few drinks and laughs, and I fell into bed! The others partied on, so haven't seen them yet - so hope they're all fighting fit. We're all going to have 18 holes this arv  - weather is overcast today, so let's hope it's cool out there! Keep you posted!
We're here - our kind of accomm!

Great blog, you seem to be doing so much each day and obviously having a ball. Maybe you can bring back a Harley? Be some going cheap in Atlantic City? Hope the casinos are kind to you and the weather doesn’t affect any of your shenanigans!!
