Off towards New York City

We said goodbye to Washington and had a cruisey highway morning towards New York City . We're staying in East Brunswick tonight, about hour or so outside of NYC, as we have to get the cars back tomorrow and want to give ourselves plenty of time to tackle that NYC traffic. The guys are actually looking forward to being a part of it all. They're saying that now, but may have a different opinion later! We checked into our hotel and surprise, surprise - the guys hit the golf course - one of about 50 - and we had to check out the local shopping!
Our friends Steve and Helen arrive in NYC late this arv, so we're all looking forward to getting together with them tomorrow. Sandra and Paul are in the air at the moment, and arrive late tomorrow arv too, so look out NYC it's going to be a Samford invasion coming your way!
Interesting to hear we have a new PM - have pretty much only heard snippets through social media!
Hope everyone's well at home - we're all travelling safe and well here. Until New York ........
Goodbye Washington!

Skirting around Baltimore through a huge tunnel

Part of the huge John f Kennedy Memorial Highway
about an hour or so out of Washington

Took a wrong turn at a gas station and ended up in
Truck City!

Another State - heading across the Delaware

  1. Hope New York can cope with so many Samfordites, it is the city that never sleeps so I hope you can also cope with the pressure! I'm sure you'll manage, even with the drive in to town!? Have fun in New York and keep up the blogging, love Pam and Vernon xxx
