Unfortunately had to get back on the highway to get to a place called Plainfield as golf was booked! And we were running late now - heaven forbid! We actually ended up in the wrong little town, but eventually found our B and B called Savery House - which was just lovely. As we were a couple of hours late, our gorgeous host Janet, left is a note to make ourselves at home. We weren't going to bother with golf, as couldn't get 18 holes in, but Mick insisted so they played 9 and us girls reluctantly waited at the 19th after shopping in the pro shop! Couldn't waste the opportunity could we?
Had a wonderful dinner at the Boat House, a couple of nice reds and flopped into our comfy beds at Savery House. Unfortunately they were booked out for another night, but our lovely hosts Janet and Jim, are a wealth of knowledge of course, so pointed us in the right direction for another great place to stay.
mmmm must say the idea of visiting the golf course doesn't do it for me but each to his own! The scenery from Toronto on to Montréal is beautiful, if you don't do the highways. The B & B looks great, they are the best way to go aren't they? Love T & G xx
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are seeing lots of the countryside. Don't get lost and go west instead of east!!! Most of all...don't lose John, he'd be lost without you! Love the blog and the photos and seeing where you are going...following on the map when we can work out which way you are going. Love Pam and Vernon
